The Courtyard by Marriott at Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport is seeking an engaging, friendly, detail- oriented Housekeeping Supervisor. The ideal candidate is a hands-on individual, who is ready to work, is
driven to improve guest satisfaction, and develop our team of associates. The Housekeeping Supervisor’s primary responsibility will be to ensure excellence in hotel cleanliness and guest service.
JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for cleanliness and sanitation of the hotel, and maintaining established quality Brand
Standards.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Tour and inspect property on a daily basis and monitor for property cleanliness, safety and
security, product quality and exceptional service throughout the hotel
Work to continuously improve GSS scores
Conduct self-audits to improve performance and cleanliness
Recruit, interview and hire housekeeping associates for assigned hotel. Meet Regularly with the
General Manager and Assistant General Manager to review staffing, morale and any disciplinary
issues
Train and support all associates and ensure performance in accordance with established hotel
brand/SUNRIDGE standards
Assist in new housekeeping associate orientation and onboarding
Ongoing review of staff to ensure adherence to established policies and procedures
Participate in monthly reward and recognition meeting/celebrate hotel and associate
achievements
Establish and maintain open collaborative relationships with direct reports, team members and
partner General Manager and Assistant General Managers
Compliance with Federal * State Labor Laws
Maintain key control and lost and found, and ensure staff is trained in both
Plan work schedules and room assignments with minimum disruption to our guests
Perform technical and administrative duties, including writing and reviewing reports, monitoring
and ordering inventory, and oversight for ordering housekeeping supplies to ensure correct par
levels

REQUIRED/PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Supervisory Experience in the Hospitality/Hotel Industry required
Specific Brand knowledge is a plus
Proficient in English language/Bilingual is a plus
Intermediate computer skills (experience with data entry is a plus)
Familiar with common computer software programs
Must be willing to work holidays
Some work in office
Must be willing to work varied hours
ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS
Satisfactory criminal background screening required
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
This position supervisors the Housekeeping Room Attendants and Laundry Attendant.

employee is regularly required to verbally communicate, listen, stand for long periods of time, ability to walk, kneel, stoop, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds.
EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This position requires variable hours based on the needs of the hotel including weekends.
