New Principal Named for Queen Creek Junior High School

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – The Queen Creek Unified School District (QCUSD) Governing Board and Superintendent Dr. Perry Berry have announced that Mrs. Beverly Nichols will be the new principal of Queen Creek Junior High School (QCJH). The approval of Mrs. Nichols as principal took place at the March 2, 2021 Board meeting.

“Mrs. Nichols is an experienced employee within QCUSD who brings positivity and passion to the workplace,” said Dr. Berry. “We are confident that she will continue to move QCJH forward.”

Mrs. Nichols has been a part of the Queen Creek Unified School District team for 18 years. Beverly spent her first nine years at Jack Barnes Elementary followed by nine years at QCJH. Beverly has been an elementary and junior high teacher as well as an assistant principal and athletic director.

“I am proud and honored to serve as principal of Queen Creek Junior High,” said Mrs. Nichols. “I look forward to continuing the tradition and quality education that our students, parents, and the community have come to expect from QCJH.”

Mrs. Nichols is from Ruston, Louisiana. Before becoming an educator, she served in the U.S. Navy (four years active duty, two years reserves). All three of Beverly’s children went through the QCUSD educational system and graduated from Queen Creek High School. When she is not serving her school community, Beverly enjoys being a grandmother to her five grandchildren, helping her husband with his cattle company, and doing yoga with her daughter.
