We work on supporting and enhancing workforce development initiatives within the community by:
Education
We partner with local school districts, universities and community colleges, and businesses with the task to prepare the youth with the skills needed to succeed in post-secondary education or the workforce.
Business and Education Summit
Development
We use the ideas from the Business and Education Summit to create our Queen Creek Works programming for the upcoming year. Ideas from the Business and Education Summit include:
Elevate for Tomorrow
Elevate for Tomorrow is a half day conference for local high school students. They hear from local business owners on failing forward, and how they overcame failure and moved forward. Then they selected one of nine breakout sessions, ranging from campus living, financial literacy, resiliency skills, and more! Lastly, they attend an expo area with businesses and colleges to explore career opportunities and post-secondary education.
Google Career Certificates can help you gain job-ready skills for in-demand career fields—whether you’re starting your career, changing direction or adding new skills to your toolbox.
Through the Queen Creek Chamber’s scholarship program, eligible participants can earn a Google Career Certificate at no cost.
Connect local employers with talented job seekers through Chamber-hosted job fairs. These events bring businesses and candidates together to explore career opportunities, make connections, and support a strong local workforce.
