Queen Creek Chamber of Commerce Leader Travels to Washington, D.C. to Advocate for Energy Policy

QUEEN CREEK, AZ – The Queen Creek Chamber of Commerce recently joined chambers from across the country in Washington, D.C. as part of a national advocacy trip organized by Chambers for Innovation and Clean Energy (CICE). The visit brought together chamber executives from across the nation to engage with federal officials on policy discussions related to permit reform, infrastructure investment, and long-term energy reliability.

Over the next 10 years, we will need our utilities to double their electrical output to keep up with growth.  This will require production on a scale never seen before, and will take massive increases in every form of generation. “We can’t afford delays due to permitting red tape or because of political ideology.  Choosing one type of production over another is not possible as we already face shortages of crucial parts and infrastructure limitations.  Everything that exists now, we will need twice as much of,” said Chris Clark, President & CEO of the Queen Creek Chamber of Commerce.

“Our goal is to ensure the voices of local businesses are heard at the national level,” He continued. “Reliable and affordable energy is essential to sustaining economic growth, supporting innovation, and improving quality of life for our residents. By engaging directly with policymakers, we’re helping shape solutions that ensure reliable and affordable electricity while maintaining economic opportunity.”

The Queen Creek Chamber of Commerce remains committed to advocating for policies that keep Queen Creek and Arizona attractive places to do business, support infrastructure investment, and ensure the community’s long-term success. The Chamber continues to collaborate with its partners through the East Valley Chamber of Commerce Alliance, the Arizona Chamber Executives, and the U.S. Chamber to represent the interests of Queen Creek’s growing business community at the local, state, and federal levels.
