The new date for the free Cardboard Box Car “Drive-in” Movie is Saturday, April 26. Start building your box car for a special showing of Wild Robot at Founders’ Park in honor of Earth Month. The event is free to attend; free popcorn and water will be served starting at 7p.m. (while supplies last). The movie will begin at sunset (approximately 7:30 p.m.).
Box car movieThe Wild Robot, an intelligent robot, is stranded on an uninhabited island. To survive the harsh surroundings, she bonds with the native animals and cares for an orphaned baby goose.
Residents are encouraged to bring “box cars” made from cardboard and other recyclable materials. Event details, cardboard box car tips, and a link to register for the event can be found at QueenCreekAZ.gov/BoxCarMovie.
