Hi, I’m Glenn Jordan. It was a typical August day in Arizona. I had just arrived at work when my world suddenly exploded - literally. I was one of four people severely injured in a gas explosion in Chandler. Before the accident, I lived an active life – hiking, working out, and pushing myself to see what my body could do. After the explosion, everything changed – but one thing didn’t: my determination to get back to the gym. Four months later, after countless hours of rehab, I completed my very first pull-up. Just one. But in that moment, it meant everything. Fast forward to November 2023: I completed 2,122 pull-ups in under 12 hours during a fundraiser I called Raise Your Bar, benefiting the Arizona Burn Foundation, a nonprofit that supports burn survivors and their families and promotes fire safety education and prevention. As a burn survivor and Board member, this cause is deeply personal to me. That event raised $40,000 and showed me just how powerful community support can be. Now, I’m inviting you to be part of something even bigger. And this year’s event is especially meaningful—it marks the five year anniversary of the moment my life changed forever. Keep Raising Your Bar: Pull-up Challenge Date: Saturday, August 15 or 22, 2026 Time: 12 PM – 4 PM* Location: HUB Fitness, Phoenix** Who: 20 participants from across Arizona – firefighters, law enforcement, community members - competing to see who can crank out the most pull-ups in one hour. What’s the Challenge? You’ll train, show up, and give it your all for one hour of pull-ups. But here’s the twist: it’s also a peer-to- peer fundraiser. Each person - and/or the team they create - is asked to raise $1,500 by rallying support from friends, family, and fans. Every dollar goes directly to the Arizona Burn Foundation to support burn survivors and their families. Don’t worry—you won’t be doing this alone. ABF staff will help you set up a fundraising page and provide support along the way. I’ll also be working with each of you monthly to help you train and prep.
