First Credit Union Celebrates Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony in Queen Creek

First Credit Union proudly celebrated the grand opening of its newest branch in Queen Creek with an official ribbon cutting ceremony held on Friday, April 24. The event brought together community leaders, local businesses, and residents to mark an exciting expansion into one of the region’s fastest-growing communities.

Located at 22335 E Queen Creek Rd, Queen Creek, AZ 85142, the new branch reflects First Credit Union’s ongoing commitment to delivering personalized, member-focused financial services while investing in the communities it serves.

Established in 1929, First Credit Union is Arizona’s original credit union and operates as a not-for-profit, member-owned financial cooperative dedicated to helping individuals and businesses achieve financial success.

“First Credit Union has been serving Arizona since 1929. We were the first credit union in the state,” said Jay Curtis, President and CEO of First Credit Union. “While the world has changed significantly over the last 100 years, our purpose has not. As a member-owned credit union, we are driven by a simple but powerful mission to advance financial education, financial strength, and financial independence. That is why opening our ninth branch here in Queen Creek is so meaningful. This is one of the fastest-growing communities in Arizona, filled with families, entrepreneurs, and individuals building their futures. We believe they deserve a financial partner that grows with them.”

“At First Credit Union, we take a different approach to banking. We call it ‘financial sunshine.’ We are here to be a part of the Queen Creek community, and this new branch represents that commitment. We look forward to partnering with local schools, supporting small businesses, and contributing to the continued success of this community. Today, we celebrate not just a new building, but new opportunities, new relationships, and a shared future right here in Queen Creek.” said Curtis.

In celebration of the grand opening, First Credit Union presented a $1,929 donation to CDT Barn Academy, reinforcing its commitment to local impact and community support.

“On behalf of the entire Queen Creek Town Council, congratulations and welcome to Queen Creek,” said Vice Mayor Bryan McClure. “This is not just a celebration of a new business opening. It is an investment in our community. The decision to establish your ninth branch here speaks volumes and shows that Queen Creek is a place worth investing in, so thank you.”

Guests in attendance had the opportunity to tour the new facility, connect with the First Credit Union team, and learn more about the wide range of financial solutions available, including checking and savings accounts, loans, credit cards, and business banking services.
