Know Before You Go – Queen Creek Holiday Festival and Parade

QUEEN CREEK, AZ – The Queen Creek Holiday Festival & Parade will be held on Saturday, December 2nd from 2PM – 6:30PM in the heart of downtown Queen Creek. This event includes a variety of activities including specialty craft vendors and food, photos with Santa, entertainment, tree lighting, lots of activities for kids, and more! This is a free event to attend, with nominal charges for food. Now in its 41st year, the annual event benefits the Queen Creek Chamber of Commerce and Kiwanis Club of Queen Creek.

The highlight of the family-friendly festival is the parade, which will feature over 70 entries ranging from the Queen Creek High School Marching Band and dance troupes, like Freestyle Dance Company and 8*Count Dance to floats from local businesses and equestrian groups and the big man himself, Santa Claus riding on Queen Creek Fire’s ladder truck. The parade will start at 3:30 PM at Aldecoa Dr and head north on Ellsworth Road, ending at Maya Rd.

The festival area is open from 2pm – 6:30pm, start holiday shopping early by visiting local hand-crafted vendors like J’Renee Bejeweled, Kaity Co Embroidery and more! Enjoy food from vendors like Nicastro Wood Fired Pizza, Copper Corn, and local bakeries.

Head over to the tree lighting area at 5:45pm for a costume contest! Dress in your favorite holiday costume and be entered for a chance to win a free bundlet-a-month for a year provided by Nothing Bundt Cakes. The community is invited to gather and help choose the winner! The ceremonial tree lighting takes place at 6:00pm.

It’s one my family grew up attending and it means a lot to the community.” Said Chris Clark, President and CEO of the Queen Creek Chamber of Commerce “We know it is one the children enjoy between the thousands of children in the parade and hundreds on the stages, it’s a great family event.”

Plan ahead and allow for extra travel time on Saturday, December 2nd. Ellsworth Rd from Sierra Park Blvd to Rittenhouse Rd will be closed from 10am – 7pm on Saturday, December 2nd. The following will also be closed on Saturday, December 2nd:

  • Maya Rd west of Ellsworth Loop Rd
  • Victoria Rd west of Ellsworth Loop Rd
  • Heritage Loop east of Ellsworth Rd
  • Ocotillo Rd west of Ellsworth Rd
  • Ocotillo Rd east of Ellsworth Rd
  • Aldecoa Dr east of Ellsworth Rd

On Friday, December 1st there will be no parking along Ellsworth Rd, no parking in the inner loop at the Queen Creek Library and no parking at the Communiversity.

There is limited event parking at the Queen Creek Library. Additional parking is available at Queen Creek Bible Church (20913 E Ocotillo Rd., Queen Creek, AZ), just east of Ellsworth Rd, and Desert Mountain Elementary and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (22035 E Ocotillo Rd, Queen Creek, AZ 85242) with a free shuttle to the event.
