Queen Creek Chamber of Commerce Announces Winners and Finalists from Business Awards Dinner

Queen Creek, AZ – The Queen Creek Chamber of Commerce hosted their 14th annual Business Awards Dinner presented by Triple Source Technologies on Thursday, September 28th at Encanterra Country Club. We celebrated local businesses, educators, and members doing great things in the community.

Donna Johnson was named Volunteer of the Year. Donna volunteers with the Town of Queen Creek Community Emergency Response Team (CERT).

Christopher Hepworth was named Educator of the Year. Mr. Hepworth teaches visual arts at Queen Creek High School.

Sidewalk Coffee and Bagel Co. was named Emerging Business of the Year. Sidewalk Coffee and Bagel Co. is a local bagel and coffee shop offering made from scratch bagels and specialty coffee and owned by Azadeh Purvis. They are located at 20784 E Victoria Lane, Suite 106.

WoodBarn BBQ was named Business of the Year. WoodBarn BBQ started as a food truck in the valley before calling Queen Creek home. It is owned by Father and son duo Mark and Skylar Hittle. They serve tender brisket, pork, sausage, and turkey! They are located at 23670 S Power Rd, Suite 101.

Nominees for Volunteer of the Year included Gibson Porter and Robert Valera, Educator of the Year Lara Cox and Joshua Mattis, Emerging Business of the Year Bloomin’ Blinds of Chandler-Gilbert and Modern Splendor Homes, and Business of the Year Old Ellsworth Brewing Company and San Tan Memorial Gardens at Schnepf Farms.
