QUEEN CREEK, AZ – Senior Helpers QC celebrated their grand opening on Tuesday, September 24th. In attendance included the Queen Creek Chamber of Commerce, local business owners, Queen Creek Mayor Julia Wheatley, and Senior Helpers QC co-owners Chandler Weight and Kyle Harris, staff and family. They are located at 40975 N Ironwood Dr B105 on the Northeast corner of Ironwood Dr and Ocotillo Rd.
“90% of seniors want to stay in their home as they age. So there are not a lot of options for them, so that’s what we do. We come in and give them the availability to age safely in their own home, but what’s really important and that sets us apart from other care agencies is our training programs. We have our center of excellence here, where we actually train our caregivers on the necessary skills to keep our seniors safe in their home.” said co-owner Kyle Harris.
Senior Helpers QC primary goal is to help provide a high quality of life for their clients and families by delivering customized, dependable, and affordable care. They offer Alzheimer’s and Dementia care, Parkinson’s care, companion, personal, transitional, and chronic disease care, veterans care services, surgery assistance and sitter services, respite care, and end of life support care.
“From a personal standpoint, we both have parents who are aging, so we’ve seen the importance of high-quality care first hand. When we were looking into services for them, we did not find a whole lot of services and options, and that is what led Kyle and I to start talking and thinking about opening our own location here in Queen Creek. Senior Helpers is a franchise with over 300 locations across the country,” said co-owner Chandler Weight.
The first step in the process is a complimentary, initial in-home care assessment with a Senior Helpers consultant. This assessment helps understand the true needs of the loved one and options, and reviews family specific goals, the loved one’s daily plan design and schedule, pricing and payment methods, the implementation process, and an ongoing communication and follow-up plan.
“I always tell people if senior care doesn’t come from a personal place, you aren’t going to last long. For us to care about our community really and be able to grow a respectable agency, this comes from a personal place from both Chandler and myself. For my case, it is carrying on the family legacy of my dad and what he wanted to build.” said Harris, “We really focus on this market; all of our care givers live here locally. They are drug screened, background checked, and complete the skills training assessment.”
